Némesis fue una banda costarricense de Heavy/Power metal creada en el año 2007 y disuelta en el 2012. Realizaron presentaciones por todo el territorio nacional compartiendo escenario junto a bandas de gran nivel como Grecco, Kronos, Silent Creation, Dominage, Ataxxia, Ashes Remain, Deimus, etc. Antes de su separación grabaron el EP homónimo a la primer canción del mismo "Equilibrio Perfecto".

Los Mejores Vocalistas del Rock

Dandome a la tarea de buscar algún buen listado de los mejores vocalistas del rock, un top 100 o algo por el estilo para compartirlo en la Mordaza De Hierro, me encontré con listas que me causaban risa y hasta verguenza, cosa que no podía ponerlas en el blog.

NÉMESIS (Heavy/Power Metal - 2012)

Banda costarricense de Heavy/Power Metal, creada en el año 2007 por ex-integrantes de Deimus.

En su camino, Némesis fue variando su alineación sufriendo cambio de guitarristas y de vocal.Mi presencia y aportes al proyecto se dieron entre diciembre 2009 y Abril 2012. Realizando un total de 15 conciertos entre los cuales se manejaban 10 temas originales y más de 10 covers entre bandas como: Accept, Deep Purple, Iced Earth, Iron Maiden, Queensrÿche, Tierra Santa, Halloween, AC/DC y HammerFall.

Némesis fue un proyecto que abarcó diversas ramificaciones de la música Rock, brindando una propuesta fresca, independiente y original en la que predomina el Heavy/Power Metal. Abarcando tanto temas en español como en inglés.

LAS MEJORES PORTADAS DEL METAL

Sin duda alguna, un factor muy importante a considerar para adquerir un nuevo disco, es su arte visual. Solo en los casos en que se conozca a fondo una banda o que se tenga muy buena referencia de un disco, se hace caso omiso a su portada. Pero en la mayía de los casos, y más si lo que se desea es conseguir material nuevo, esta tiende a darnos una idea de lo que se pueda esperar de su contenido musical. Es cierto que en algunos casos se aplica la frase "no hay que dejarse llevar por la portada", porque talvez visualmente no sea de gran calidad, pero musicalmente puede sere toda una obra maestra. Pero en la mayoria de los casos las portadas son de gran ayuda; permiten dar una idea de en que subgenero musical o tematica se encierra el disco.
Es por eso que he querido hacer un recorrido por las mejores portadas del metal, desde sus inicios con el Rock/Blues, hasta sus extremos con el Black/Death. Se que muchas se me pudieron haber quedador por fuera, y talvez otras las consideren como no tan buenas, pero la verdad es que las que he tomado en cuenta son portadas que han impactado o al menos han marcado un antes y un después en la historia del Rock.
